Zoe is the heroine of this story (children age 8-12). Her head is always full of thoughts. That's not a problem when she thinks about all the good things in her life. But she also worries - a lot - about everything. She worries about school, she is anxious about what other children think of her, she worries about death and about her parents. And that can be very tiring.
But Zoe doesn't give up. She tries to cope with her thoughts, and teaches the reader a variety of tricks to deal with worrying. For instance; trying to distract yourself, talking about it with others, and trying to change the thoughts into funny thoughts. The tricks don't make all her worries go away, but it does get more manageable, and that feels good!
